Ushers & Greeters

2016 Annual Report

Thank you to the Ushers and Greeters for the year 2016.  Your dedication to this ministry that shows all who come through our doors the hospitality that Trinity has to offer is truly a gift to our parish.  Greeting familiar faces and those who are new among us is a testimony to who we are and how we share Christ’s love among us.

We currently have 2 volunteers for the 8:00 a.m. service and 5 couples, and 7 individuals for the 10:00 a.m. service.  There will be 2 more families joining in 2017.  This ministry presents an ideal opportunity to meet the new members of Trinity on a personal level and to talk with familiar members of Trinity as well.

Elizabeth Cowell continues to share the responsibilities of Usher/Greeter management with Mary Jones. Elizabeth monitors the Sunday duties and generates the reminder calls while Mary continues to create and distribute the schedule and monitor changes.  If you are interested in becoming a member of the Usher/Greeters team, please see Elizabeth Cowell or email the office at
Arriving 30 minutes before the service begins, Usher/Greeters direct and greet people as they come to attend service.  Other duties include, taking attendance (which includes the choir and those serving and all church schoolteachers and children), recording the total number of attendees and giving that number to the office, process the Bread and Wine to the Altar, collecting the offering, putting the Hymnals and kneelers in order and making sure that the sanctuary is tidy for the next service.

Please consider joining this group and help to welcome those new among us as well as those who have already found a home at Trinity.

Respectfully submitted,
Mary Jones
