Ushers & Greeters

2018 Annual Report

Ushers/Greeters arrive 30 minutes before the service begins to direct and greet people as they come to attend service. This ministry allows us to show all who come through our doors the hospitality that exists here at Trinity. Thank you to the Ushers and Greeters who extended that hospitality for the year 2018. Your service to this church community and those who are new among us is a testimony to who we are and how we share Christ’s love.
Other Usher/Greeter duties include, handing out the bulletins and the Prayers of the People to be read, taking attendance (which includes the choir and those serving and all church schoolteachers and children), totaling the number of attendees and providing that total to the church office, processing the Bread and Wine to the Altar, collecting the offering, putting the Hymnals and kneelers in order and making sure that the sanctuary is tidy for the next service.

We currently have 2 volunteers for the 8:00 a.m. service and 7 couples, and 6 individuals for the 10:00 a.m. service.  We are hopeful that you will be joining us in 2019! This ministry presents an ideal opportunity to meet the new members of Trinity on a personal level and to talk with longer term members of Trinity as well.

Mary Jones and Elizabeth Cowell continue to share the responsibilities of Usher/Greeter management. Elizabeth monitors the Sunday duties and generates the reminder calls while Mary continues to create and distribute the schedule and monitor changes.  If you are interested in becoming a member of the Usher/Greeters team, please see Elizabeth Cowell or email the office at
Please consider joining this group and help welcome those new among us as well as those who have already found a home at Trinity.

Respectfully submitted,
Mary Jones
