MINISTRIES WITHIN TRINITY

Christian Formation

Christian Formation seeks to create a nurturing and hospitable environment where all church members can grow in mind and body, heart and spirit. This is achieved through programs and service projects both within Trinity and in the greater community. We offer online Bible Study on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. If you’re interested in joining the group, contact Rick Richardson at RickRichardson@mac.com.

Music and Choir

Music is an integral part of worship at Trinity Collinsville. Sunday service incorporates hymns sung by our choir, accompanied by our lovely Fisk pipe organ, which is also heard in the prelude and postlude music.

Outreach

We are committed to helping individuals and families in need — especially children — locally, nationally and internationally. Our Outreach group organizes programs throughout the year, including quarterly Lunch in the Park events in Hartford and the annual Quality Street Fair each fall.

Welcoming / Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care/Welcoming ministry connects with and supports members of the Trinity community, whether they are longtime members or newcomers. During 2021, Trinity members conducted two “caravans” of Church members who went out in pairs to bring cheer, small gifts and a friendly visit to those in our church who chose not to leave their homes during the worst months of the pandemic.

We are seeking parishoners to to occasionally pitch in with pastoral care — to make a phone call, write a note, pay a visit, or prepare and deliver a meal. If you feel called to share in this ministry, please contact Karanne Farling at

(860) 651-9753 or (860) 707-9850.

Miriam's Closet

Miriam’s Closet provides gently used work attire to people of all genders who need an outfit for a job interview or a few items when starting a job. While the pandemic forced the Closet’s temporary shutdown in 2020, adults who need items for a job search can contact Mimi’s Closet by email at office@trinitycollinsville.org.

Volunteers will again be needed to help sort, size and transport items once the Closet reopens. For now, Miriam’s Closet cannot accept more items. Anyone seeking to donate clothing is encouraged to contact Avon Gifts of Love, Canton FAVARH, or New Hartford Hands of Grace.
