MUSIC & CHOIR
Music at Trinity Collinsville
Music ministry is integral to life and worship at Trinity Collinsville. Our worship services are full of congregational song, embracing classic Episcopal hymnody as well as a rich variety of traditional and contemporary styles.
Musical worship events over the years (pre-COVID) have included “Jammin’ with Jesus,” a recurring casual service led on guitar; services of sung prayer in the Taizé tradition; and special church functions featuring choral anthems, duets, and even silent films with live accompaniment.
Choir members(L to R): Chris Greene, Diane Terry, Dawn Lowell, Kathy Hart, Peter Dehey, Phyllis Lowell, Leslie Dehey. Choir members not pictured: Laurie Barnhart, Heather Prescott, and Rob Finney

Francesco Blackmore, Director of Music Ministry, came to Trinity Collinsville with the year’s start and ushered in new life – creating for the parish a renaissance of sorts. The positive energy he brings with him is palpable.
You can read more about Francesco on our staff page.
Leslie Dehey
Choir Librarian
Leslie has loved singing in choirs since she was 10 years old, and has been singing at Trinity for 44 years! “Music lifts the soul, inspires and comforts. I can’t imagine worship without singing!” Leslie also served during much of 2021 as the Interim Choir Director.
Making Music Together
For much of the year, the volunteer Trinity Choir offers a weekly anthem at the Sunday morning service, drawing on a wide repertoire of sacred choral music maintained by our Choir Librarian.
The Trinity music community is a friendly group, welcoming instrumentalists and singers of all kinds and all experience levels. We hope you’ll join us!
← Pop-up Field Trip
With the sanctuary silent on any day but Sunday for so long during COVID, the preschoolers of Trinity Nursery School were curious about the sudden and exciting noises coming from upstairs. They discovered Francesco practicing on the organ. Always happy to share his love of music, Francesco treated the kids to a mini concert – click on the left to join in.
Our Fisk Organ
At the heart of much of our worship is our unique tracker-action pipe organ, the Charles B. Fisk Opus 56 (1971), joined by piano, percussion, and other instruments.
